finishing filming

I am very excitited becuase today was our last day of filming. ALl we had left to film were the scenes where Trevor begans to better him self. These scenes take a while. This is becuase of a couple of things. One of which is it is a lot of clips. Lots of little peices that need to be put together. Unlike the other scenes we have done recently that have been shot in maly one take or clip. These last scenes are edited together. Another reason is that the beining of the "end" is very dialouge heavy. IT has a monolouge given by treovrs mom in the movie played by my mom. This scene is supposed to be very emotional. The delievery of the monolouge is crucial to understanding th efilm. It is trevors turning point. What makes him want to better himself. Becuase of this we had to get this scene perfect. It took many takes. Like, a lot. AFter we fimsished the monolouge it was smooth sailing. we finshed the rest of the clips. Which mainly consisted of training.

The short film the previous 3 minutes differs from our drama because in the last 3 minutes it displays a life drama meanwhile in our movie we display a sports drama. 1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? -In the opening sequence of the film there are 3 different titles that appear. It begins with the studio the movie is presented by, then a black screen with red letters “NETFLIX and FOX 2000 PICTURES present”, and then the title of the movie appears over the film in red. 2. What connotations do the images carry? -The connotations of the title images carry are mysterious, chilling, and bold. 3. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? -The genre is reinforced though the title by the emphasis on the words as well as the color. The boldness of the word makes them stand out and the red color adds to the thrilling feel. There is also mysterious music being played. 4. Genre decision

My group decided to go with the thriller genre. This was for many reasons. One of which being that we enjoy this genre the most. It is very importatn that you enjoy what oyu are creating so that the product can be as authentic as possible. Another reason was that it is harder to devolop a plot line , or the begining of one, in just two minutes in a genre like comedy or drama, which will gnerally have a longer exposition. We believe that choosing the thriller genre will increase our intrest in the project, henceforth leading to a better overall result. We already have many ideas in mind. Incuding where we will shoot it. The music we will use. And even how we will edit it. Choosing the thriller blog we can do all the things we want to.
