· Common camera angles used in the comedy genre include a Medium shot, Over the shoulder shots, two shots, close up, and long shots. These camera angles all contribute to films made in the comedy genre. · Common Mise En Scene used in comedy films include a soundtrack that is positive and upbeat, Brighter lighting to reflect the comedy aspect of the film (making it happier), costumes in comedy films consist of brighter colors and vibrancy, and props in comedy films are usually crazy, funny or silly. · Editing techniques in comedy films include, having the perfect timing of the scenes, editing as if the scene was not shot on one camera (using different clips from multiple cameras for the same scene), Cuts, and adding extra frames or trimming them. · Common sound found in comedy films includes, upbeat positive music, laughing sound effects, and dialogue between characters. · Examples of comedy films- Bad trip, Cruella, Coming 2 America, Moxie, Gostbuster: Afterlfe, Space Jam; A New Legacy, etc... · Elements in this genre that we like are the way this genre makes the audience feel. This genre is supposed to make the audience laugh and happy. Elements we would use would be the editing aspects of this genre. · Elements of this genre that are not appealing are the sound, with the genre we ended up choosing we would not be able to use the same types of sound used in comedy films.
