My group is doing an ABCmouse commercial. In these commercials, the audience usually sees children learning on their computers through fun interactive lessons.
The children in the commercials wear normal clothes.
Props include computers, teddy bears/other children's toys.
The appearance of the actors/students & parents are happy and excited representing the joy that ABCmouse.co brings to learning.
The score through the commercial is upbeat instrumental music.
The ads used eye level, over the shoulder and close-up shots.
The ads use lots of animations.
The ads also have many bright colors and cute animated characters to be appealing to look at.
The ads show the price and use words like "only" to show how inexpensive it is
1. The conventions and codes in ABCmouse.com are popping colors, fonts, and characters. The mouse logo is also symbolically placed in the ad.
2. Shots in the commercial either are angled to show the site on the computer screen, the people's happy reactions, or both. Other sections show the student sitting on a stool facing the camera, interview style.
3. the commercials use ethos by showing the students (because they would know best about fun education) and logos by showing how effective the lessons are.
All in all, the ABCmouse commercials/genre are bright colorful commercials designed to capture kid's attention. The commercials use cute characters, examples of fun lessons, and happy, upbeat music to further their interest. The ads also use close-ups, over-the-shoulder, and eye-level shots. Lastly, the ads show how affordable and practical the company is to capture the parent's attention and convince them.

1.Conventions we use are using a slow song in the background to enhance the emotions of our audience. in most commercials they have limited charcters due to time adn budgets, ours only had three. we are targetin gthe audience o fkids who need extra help in school, which is a very large number. We used very simple camera technuiques like over the shoulder shots, zoom, pan, tilt, and an extreme close up. Extreme close up shots are not very common in commerciasl so in that sense we ae showing extra emotion by breaking that convention. 2. Our product engadges the audience in multiple ways. I believe the dialouge used engades the audience becuase you get to listen to the actors voices adn hear thier emotions. I also believe the music enadges the audience. Proper music sets the tone and the mood. The more depressing music when the actor fails the test, the suspensful music when he takes the test, and the uplifing music when he passes and at the logo all help convey this and engade the audie...
